(1/6/07) Graded Performance for Leading Money Earner by TALK IS MONEY

High Finance, purchased by West Point Thoroughbreds in 2006, ran second in the Grade III Mr. Prospector Handicap at Gulfstream Park on Saturday. The six-furlong event was run in 1:08.84, about 2/5ths off the track record of 1:08.46 set last year. Multiple Graded stakes winner and track record setter Kelly's Landing took the lead at the turn to prevail. High Finance chased the pace along the rail, had trouble getting through tight quarters inside Weigelia in the stretch, finally getting through to be up for second 1 1/4 lengths behind the winner.

TALK IS MONEY, relocated to Highcliff for the 2007 season from Kentucky, stands for $5,000 live foal. By Deputy Minister out of the Gone West mare, Isle Go West, a half-sister to HENNESSY. TALK IS MONEY's first foals are four-year-olds and he has four stakes horses from that crop: HIGH FINANCE, BLAZING SUNSET, GRANDMA W. and MONEY CODE.

TALK IS MONEY's third crop are now two-year-olds and include a $250,000 July yearling.
